Nursery Planning

Now that we know we're having a boy, I can start planning the nursery!! I am so excited to put Foster's room together. We're doing a woodland themed nursery - think owls, foxes, deer, squirrels, bears, OH MY! I'm in love with the crib I found and I'm reeeally wanting the linen bedding from Restoration Hardware *fingers crossed* it goes on sale at some point or else I'll never be able to get it! I've been looking on Etsy too but of course can't find anything I love as much. We already have a canoe bookshelf from my Grandmother & Bobba like the one in the picture below. I can't wait to reveal the nursery once we have it finished!!
crib / bedding / mobile / pillow / stacking blocks / fox print / squirrel clock / wood slice / love you print

Now - a question for all of you mamas out there - what other items are MUST HAVES for the nursery? What are your favorite products??

Gender Reveal!

This was possibly the best weekend of my whole life so far. We moved into our new house, our family and friends were in town and we found out we're having a baby......

BOY!!!!
His name is Foster Quinn Adams.

We were so blessed by our friends and family who made this day extra special. It was so much fun to find out with all of the people who mean so much to us. (Though were were missing a few!)

My sister-in-law Lynsey did all of the decorations and preparations cause she's the best everrrrrrr.

After the party we made our first stop.... BABY GAP :)

21 Weeks - Boy or Girl??

VOTE IF YOU THINK IT'S A BOY OR GIRL! (on the sidebar under my picture)

How big is the baby this week: The size of a pomegranate! 8 inches long and weighs ONE WHOLE POUND.
How far along: Exactly 21 weeks!
Due date: May 30, 2013
Total weight gain: 9.5 lbs
Maternity clothes: Yup.
Stretch marks: Not yet......
Sleep: I'm having a harder time falling asleep lately.
Miss anything: I had a virgin bloody mary last weekend and it hit the SPOT. Extra spicy, of course.
Movement: Daddy felt baby move for the first time this week!
Food cravings: SPICY. glazed donut holes.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope.
Have you started to show yet: Uh huhhhhh.
Gender prediction: After our ultrasound yesterday, I felt like it was a boy. WHO KNOWS.
Looking forward to: SATURDAY. Our gender reveal is Saturday and I cannot.freaking.wait. I'm dying over here!!!

We had our 20 week ultrasound yesterday and baby looked perfect :) He/she was moving around all over the place! We saw all 4 chambers of the heart and could see it beating. We saw the brain, the stomach and the kidneys. We saw it's little hands and feet. It was the coolest thing. It looks like a real baby now! The doctor said it has long legs but other than that measures in the 50th percentile - so if we keep it up hopefully we'll have an average 7 lb baby. I can't wait to call it by NAME instead of IT!! We love you baby Adams!! Praising God for this sweet miracle.

Our First House!

There are a lot of exciting things happening for the Adams family in 2013! Next week we close on our first home and we find out Baby Adams gender!!

We close next week on the house! I could not be more excited. I found the house online a couple months ago and was instantly in love. It's the only house we looked at in person. We're less than a five minute walk from my sis/bro-in-law and our nieces. From the first time we saw the house I've been imagining Lynsey and I taking our babies on walks around the neighborhood. And they have a golf cart - so I see many neighborhood rides in my future!

The house is older - built in 1985 - but a couple of investors bought it and completely redid the inside. It's beautiful! There are a few cosmetic changes we'll make over time but it's ready to be lived in.

It's so special to know this is the home we'll become a family of three in. I can't wait to start the nursery!

Here are some pictures of how the house is staged now.
